About Me
I am an artist, cartoonist, graphic designer and photographer. I have over 40 years of experience as an artist, beginning at an early age when I would draw with my dad. I grew up with Disney, the Sunday comics and comic books which were my early inspirations. I took every available art class in school and eventually went to a technical college to complete my Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design. Many of my mentors and instructors were designers themselves providing a real world learning opportunity. I took courses in story boards and animation at the Animation Guild #839 in Los Angeles, and cartooning courses from instructors who worked with Disney and other local studios. I have been working with Adobe design programs for over 15 years. Along the way a hobby became part of my business. I started photographing my daughters soccer games along with landscapes and architectural photography and some family portraits for friends. I love that I can provide both graphic design and photography for my clients.
Artist
There is something about hand drawing something. Digital is a great tool, but there is just something about touching, smelling, and experiencing with all your senses as you watch your creation come to life. This is an acrylic and water color on canvas.
Cartoonist
Ever dream of creating your own cartoon strip? Do they even have those any more... I truly hope so, this is a fun genre to create in. And everyone loves a good cartoon or meme.
Graphic Designer
I still love to create images by hand, and in many cases that is were I start. It is rare that I sit down at the computer and try my ideas there first. But once ready, I work in Canva, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop the most.
Photographer
I love the freedom I feel when behind the camera. As a natural introvert, I find that being in crowds is much easier for me with the camera. I love that I can help capture memories that will last generations. With my design background, my photography is also different from other photographers. I take time to edit, and also provide special images to my clients by adding different backgrounds and elements.
